TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) - The first stage of jury selection is underway for the trial of a man charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal stabbing in Twin Falls.
Prosecutors say 22-year-old Cayde Lee Lish stabbed Jerimiah Paiz 13 times in the back and once in the arm after arguing with Paiz outside Canyon Crest Dining and Event Center last October. The 24-year-old Paiz died of his wounds.
The Times-News reports potential jurors were brought to the Twin Falls County Courthouse on Monday to complete questionnaires about any knowledge they had of the case. That group will be whittled down to a few dozen potential jurors who will be brought back for the second stage of jury selection on Aug. 19.
