Grand opening for new Meridian neighborhood park slated for Monday (Oct. 30th)

MERIDIAN, Idaho The City of Meridian will hold a grand opening celebration for its new Reta Huskey Park on Monday (Oct. 30th) at 2:00 pm. The park is at 2887 W. Tubac Drive off of Ten Mile between Ustick and McMillan.

The park is at 2887 W. Tubac Drive off of Ten Mile between Ustick and McMillan.

The 8.9 acre park sits along the Five Mile Creek in the Bellano Creek Subdivision.

The park features a walking path, playground, sport court, picnic shelter/restroom combo, climbing items, and three pickleball courts.

Speakers at the event will include Meridian Mayor Tammy de Weerd and Meridian Parks and Recreation Director Steve Siddoway.

The park is named after Rita Huskey who grew up on the property with her family which includes many siblings.

The public is welcome to attend.
