Frank Shamrock is an American professional mixed martial artist. He was the first to win the UFC Middleweight Championship, was a four-time defending undefeated champion, and was the No. 1 ranked pound for pound UFC fighter in the world. He has also been crowned King of Pancrase, and won the WEC Light Heavyweight Championship and the Strikeforce Middleweight Championship. He runs a franchise of schools, Frank Shamrock, Inc. merchandising, MMA Entertainment, and Mixed Martial Arts For Law Enforcement.
Frank was raised in foster homes, eventually living with Dede and Bob Shamrock, in Susanville, California. He was formally adopted by Bob at age 21.
He is the younger brother of bare-knuckle boxing promoter, professional wrestler, mixed martial artist, and kickboxer Ken Shamrock. The two are not biologically related. Frank has two children, including a daughter with his former wife Amy Warren.
