Pre-Season in the game essentially refers to an event launched by EA which aims to tide over players of FIFA 22, to FIFA 23 once it releases by providing certain incentives. These incentives are in the form of special rewards earned in Pre-Season which are useable in both FUT 22, and FUT 23 once it releases. Julian Alvarez Showdown SBC is Live in FIFA 22! How to Complete the SBC?
Julian Alvarez has received a Showdown card version of himself. The Argentinian forward recently completed his summer transfer to Manchester City, and his team has had a flying start to the season. This weekend, he and his team will face off against Tottenham Hotspur and Ivan Perisic, who is the player to receive a Showdown SBC from the other side.
The weekend fixture of Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur has plenty of hype. Both the new Showdown cards, Julian Alvarez and Ivan Perisic, have received 96-rated cards in this week’s Showdown SBC. If Man City win, Alvarez’s Showdown card in Ultimate Team will get a +2 OVR boost, taking his OVR to 98! If Man City draw, he will receive a +1 boost to his OVR. If Man City lose, then there will be no upgrade.

The Showdown SBC expires on the 9th of September, 2022. The SBC expires ahead of the weekend fixture between the 2 teams, and the upgrades will be added after the result of the game.
