Henson attended John Burroughs High School in Burbank and later had a brief stint at Emerson College.
Elden Henson career
Henson began his professional journey at a tender age as he stepped into the world of modelling. He signed with Fords Models’ children’s division. During that same period, he ventured into the realm of commercials and showcased his acting abilities. However, it was in 1982 that he acquired his SAG card. Over the subsequent decade, he graced the silver screen as he appeared in Elvis & Me“(1988) and Turner & Hooch (1989).
Additionally, he made guest appearances on various television shows. From 1992 to 1996, Henson portrayed “Fulton Reed” in the The Mighty Ducks trilogy.
Reflecting on his career, Henson acknowledged the impact of these films and he has attributed a considerable portion of his success in the industry to them. Surprisingly, even to this day, he finds that he is most commonly recognised for his role in The Mighty Ducks. While he initially experienced moments of embarrassment, particularly during his childhood when opposing sports teams would taunt him by quacking, he has come to embrace the enduring popularity of those movies.
As he entered his twenties, Henson began playing more mature roles in movies and series, including The Mighty, She’s All That, Idle Hands, O, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd and The Butterfly Effect. During this period, he also co-founded Roulette Entertainment, a film production company, alongside fellow actor, Josh Hartnett.
He also made appearances in notable movies such as Lords of Dogtown and Deja Vu during the late 2000s. Furthermore, he made guest appearances on several television shows, including the CBS series, Smith.
In 2013, Henson portrayed the Apple Computer engineer, Andy Hertzfeld, in the biopic, Jobs. The following year, he secured the role of “Pollux” in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2. The filming for these movies commenced in September 2013 in Atlanta and concluded in June 2014 in Berlin, with both parts being filmed consecutively.
Henson played the character “Foggy Nelson” in the Netflix television series, Daredevil. Marvel had earlier announced in June 2014 that Henson would be cast in the movie, and the selection of the character he played was sequel to an interesting incident that occurred during his audition.
In a video conference call, Henson accidentally held his phone upside down and inadvertently appeared inverted to those present. However, this mishap ended up convincing the show’s executives that he was the ideal candidate for the character of “Foggy Nelson”.
Henson subsequently reprised the role of “Foggy” in the crossover miniseries, The Defenders, and made cameo appearances in the second seasons of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, respectively.
