There are many adjectives that come to mind when one thinks of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge:

But one word that’s not commonly associated with Kate Middleton is "inappropriate."
Sure there’s been a Kate Middleton wardrobe malfunction or two over the years, but they’ve mostly been the result of poor planning and strong gusts of wind.
There’s a third cause, too, of course, which is an over-eager tabloid press reporting Kate wardrobe malfunctions every time she exposes a knee.
The latest alleged royal slip-up occurred yesterday as the Windsor clan stopped by a children’s birthday party during their current royal tour of Canada.
Kate’s attire has certain media outlets breathlessly reporting that the Duchess dressed inappropriately for a family-friendly affair…

Yes, this is legitimately being passed off as a wardrobe malfunction.

If so, the Brits should do themselves a favor and check out the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show some time.

It doesn’t even have a name, because it’s not really a thing.
If it did have a name it would be a "maybe you shouldn’t crouch like that while you’re wearing a skirt and there are cameras around because the tabloid press will make a big deal out of almost seeing your royal knickers again," but it doesn’t ya dig?
If wardrobe malfunctions were rated on a scale of "nun" to "looks like Tara Reid did some day drinking before working the red carpet," this one could easily get a job at your nearest parochial school.
Have we spent far too much time dissecting a maybe, kinda, almost sorta-but-not-really wardrobe malfunction?
Yeah, probably.
